Do you have to pay NCB royalties if you release your OWN MUSIC on CD?
A special set of rules apply if you release your own music on CD or other media.

Are you allowed to MAKE A COPY of a music CD?
If it is done with a veiw to selling/distributing the copies, you will also need the permission of the relevant record company.

Do you have to pay NCB royalties if you make CD's that are given away FOR FREE?
Yes - if the recordings are give-aways you must pay minimum rates. Please refer to [Music on CD, MC, DVD audio, vinyl]/[- tariff rates].
