”Contract type” (before December 2005: "Collection") indicates type of collection which can either be an idication of product type (e.g. physical media, downloads or music used in advertising) or the type of industry agreement based on which NCB has collected your royalties. Below the terms are explained in detail:
Audio Std. Licence (before December 2005: Phono Standard Licence)
CD, LP or DVD audio releases by a Nordic/Baltic record company that holds a so-called NCB Standard Contract. The record company pays royalties on actual sales (made during the previous calendar half-year).
Audio Work-by-work (before December 2005: Audio Single Licence)
CD, LP or DVD audio releases by a minor Nordic/Baltic record company that has obtained a one-off licence from NCB. The record company pays royalties on all copies manufactured.
CLA (before December 2005: CEL)
CD, LP or DVD audio releases by one of the multinational record producers (Universal, EMI, Sony, BMG, Warner, Edel). CLA is short for "Central Licensing Agreement". Royalties on a CLA producer's total European sales are collected by one European copyright society. Royalties are subsequently redistributed to the copyright society where the actual sales were made - and the local society (e.g.) NCB distributes the royalties to its members.
Foreign/Audio
CCD, LP or DVD audio releases by non-Nordic/non-Baltic record company. Royalties have been collected by one of NCB's foreign sister societies and distributed by NCB.
Online/Ringtones
NCB's collection on mobile phone ringtones sold by a Nordi/Baltic based ringtone provider.
AV/Mechanisation
NCB's collection on music used for e.g. concert DVD-videos.
AV/Synchronisation
NCB's collection on music used in TV commercials, TV programmes or feature films.
