- music released outside the Nordic/Baltic area

If you learn that your music is being release outside the Nordic/Baltic area - i.e. outside NCB's territory of administration - it is important that you supply NCB with the information listed below.

Use this checklist and send the information to NCB's Member Services:

On receipt of this information NCB will forward it to the copyright society of the country in question and await the remittance of royalties.

Please note that royalties collected abroad may be slow to arrive as it depends on how quickly the foreign society forwards the money and related documentation to NCB.

Certain countries have no reciprocal agreement with NCB

Please note that NCB's structure of reciprocal agreements does not cover the entire world. We have entered into agreements with countries in Europe, North and South America and some countries in Asia. On this link you will find a list of the relevant societies.

However, there are several countries in Asia, Middle East, Central America and Africa where we have no reciprocal collection agreement with a copyright society. Consequently, we reserve the right to reject your request for assistance with a view to collecting royalties in certain countries.

In such cases of non-representation we suggest that you in stead enter into a 100% sub-publishing agreement with a publisher represented in the relevant country in order to get the royalties due to you.

NCB cannot guarantee royalty collection from all sister societies where synchronisation is involved (combination of music and visuals). This applies in particular to releases in the USA where NCB's affiliated society only collects for audio products and not for films and other audio-visual products.
