Information on the cover/label
- ISRC codes

ISRC is short for "international standard recording code". It is an alphanumeric code consisting of 12 characters for uniquely identifying sound recordings and music video recordings. It is defined by the ISO 3901 standard.

Any modification to a recording - e.g. re-mix or modified playing time - means that the recording must be assigned a new ISRC code.

IFPI is the ISO-appointed international registration authority for ISRC. On this link you can find a list of national ISRC agencies - as well as more information on ISRC codes.
