If you want to upload or distribute music over the Internet - by way of download or streaming - you will need a joint online licence agreement from NCB and the national performing rights society (see "Contacts" below). This applies to all kinds of music - even fragments of music - and irrespective of the content provider being an individual or a company.
It is the music service provider who should apply to take out the joint licence.
The joint online licence covers exclusively the mechanical and performing rights owned by the composers, lyricists and music publishers. Consequently, you may have to obtain additional permissions - e.g. if you copy/duplicate music from a CD, show the lyrics/musical notation on your website or use the the music for advertising.
